ABOUT BOCIMAR

Bocimar
A joint venture between the Boelwerf and the Cigrang families in 1969, Bocimar was established to focus on transporting coal, ore and grain in the Atlantic Ocean. Under the direction of Jacques Saverys, Bocimar soon expanded to provide worldwide transportation of all dry goods.

Today, Bocimar is involved in every element of dry bulk shipping:
  • New building
  • Technical
  • Operations
  • Chartering.

A subsidiary of CMB since 1982, Bocimar maintains offices in Antwerp, Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo.

The Bocimar fleet
Bocimar’s in-house technical department collaborates with CMB Technologies to equip vessels with leading technology. This has enabled the construction of custom designed vessels. Bocimar currently operates a fleet of 60 dry bulk vessels of all sizes:
  • Newcastlemax
  • Capesize
  • Post-Panamax
  • Panamax
  • Ultramax
  • Supramax
  • Handysize.

In 2016, the fleet carried a total of 41,500,000 MT of cargo.

Bocimar and CCL
Bocimar places great importance on meeting the needs of its customers. In order to provide more competitive pricing and more efficient trading operations, Bocimar actively pursued the development of a spot market. Capesize Chartering Ltd. was established in 2015.
