First CMB vessel to call Dutch Harbor, Alaska

Our M/V Delphis RIga, operated and chartered by CMA CGM for a Time Charter trip and sailing under Hong Kong Flag, is the first CMB vessel that has ever called Dutch Harbor. The Delphis Riga is the last vessel in a series of 4, designed by the Delphis Fleet team and built at HHIC shipyard Korea. These vessels have a nominal capacity of 1926 TEU - with a homogenous intake which is 40% larger than existing Kiel Max container ships - and about 500 reefer sockets.

Dutch Harbor, also called Unalaska and home base for the popular Discovery Channel television series ‘Deadliest Catch’, has a population of about 4,700 year-round residents and 5,000 - 10,000 transient workers.

The vessel commenced her journey in Busan with 650 empty 40ft containers on board and reached Dutch Harbor after a smooth 10 days voyage at sea. After a loading operation of nearly 72 hours, she headed back to Busan loaded with 404 fully refrigerated and 150 40ft containers.
